Are sailing team buildings also available as part of the "Kieler Woche", "Travemünder Woche" or "Hanse Sail"?
Yes! Please book well in advance.

What is the difference between a team building and an event/incentive?
Strictly speaking, a team building is a seminar in which the team undergoes development and training. The activity itself is the means to the end.
In an event/incentive programme, the focus falls on the activity and having fun at the same time.
However, in reality these differences are just relative. In Sailing Team Building, the beautiful surroundings are by themselves incentive in nature- events are rarely requested alone.

Do you need sailing experience?
No.

Is a small regatta possible?
Yes, if chartering at least two boats.

Is there a captain on board?
Yes, always. There is also a small crew on board larger vessels.

alstertal-coaching offers team buildings and team events on sailing boats on the Baltic as well as at international sailing resorts.

Team building on the water
One of alstertal-coaching's specialities is sailing team building. The perfect fusion of nature and teamwork. The options available range from using the ship as a conference venue with a seminar room on large vessels to intensive experiences on sailing boats. In events lasting several days, participants can also sleep on board (in various comfort levels) - a considerable aid to how the team comes to terms with itself.
The sailing events usually depart from Hamburg (Elbe) or Travemünde / Kiel (Baltic). Trips on the Mediterranean or the Caribbean are also available.

Large sailing ships
These ships are the ideal venue for Sailing Team Building for many teams. They allow participants to help with steering the ships but also provide a lot of room for holding seminars or outdoor team challenges on board. Sea-sickness is almost unheard of here as the ships are moored very securely to the seabed. Larger teams of around 30 persons can also be accommodated on board. Catering is mostly certainly possible.
These are beautiful, lovingly-kept and comfortably-furnished schooners (pilot vessels, cargo ships, etc.).

Sports Yachts / High-Speed Yachts
In this case, it is obviously the team sport of sailing that matters most which is used for the team training. Coming up against nature soon makes participants abundantly clear of the need to work together effectively, and of the importance of clear communication.
Thanks to the very small teams, participants can be accommodated on a single sports yacht. Alternatively, the team can be split across several sports yachts. As a particularly special event, it is also possible to charter an America's Cup yacht (up to 11 persons on board a single yacht).

Sail on dinghies on the Alster & co.
It is also possible to carry out exciting Sailing Incentives on the Alster/inland waterways in small sailing boats for 4-6 persons. The purpose for these (small) teams is to learn how to take command of the boat. The opportunity also exists to sail in a small regatta.
