Team Olympics The Team Olympics is ideal for very large groups or company-wide events and "event-like" team buildings. Various stations are installed (indoor and outdoor installations available, e.g. on a sailing boat). The large group is split into several teams which run through the stations in turn. The tasks are taken from the areas of communication and problem-solving. No debriefing is held. You can choose to ramp up the competitive nature of the program by having a winner's ceremony or emphasise teamwork more using joint tasks or a joint scoring system. Team Olympics usually take 2-4 hours.
The Burma Bridge How many people always wanted to cross a rope bridge they made themselves? Building a Burma Bridge is one of the classics in team building. As well as it being a very exciting challenge, there is also the kick of actually crossing the bridge. The process can also incorporate many metaphors (e.g. to merge two departments, two bridges are built on a common island). The bridge is built by so-called "competence teams". For example, two team members are responsible for a particular section, two others for guiding the rope through. They are provided with the necessary information. No-one has the overall plan of the bridge meaning a lot of communication and problem-solving is required. Of course we will inspect the bridge before anyone steps on it - safety equipment will be provided depending on the height involved.

Nature Challenge is the umbrella term for various, very nature-like outdoor team buildings which can be installed at various locations.
Low Level Parcours / Mohawk Walk There has been a movement towards more intensive team building for a while now, from high ropes courses to the low level area. High ropes courses may offer more in terms of overcoming inner obstacles and for tackling the theme of trust, the themes of communication and problem-solving are however tackled considerably better with special low level rope tasks. The discipline of Kings and one of our favourite team buildings is the Mohawk Walk. Here a 20 m or so steel cable is installed taught between two trees (or pillars, etc.) over a (30-50 cm) drop The team is now given the task to move along the steel cable from one end to the other within a specified time and without help from outside. This challenge is infused with a suitable story/metaphor. If just one team member comes into contact with the ground, everyone has to go back to the start. Some of the equipment, e.g. cables, branch, may touch the ground. This task appears easy at first but can only be solved by intensive coordination and collaboration between team members. Any weakness (and strength) within a team now becomes very obvious for everyone. In a post-event or accompanying debriefing, the event is analysed, discussed and made relevant to participants' own daily work. The Mohawk Walk can be installed almost anywhere. We use part of a forest to the North of Hamburg. Alongside the Mohawk Walk, there are other interesting low-rope exercises, e.g. as a partner exercise.
